you're my forever friend //rachel+abby//

Every once in awhile, as a photographer, I feel like I have more fun than my subjects.

This was one of those shoots.

Rachel and Abby are crazy hysterical.


Abby had set up this amazing idea of giving Rachel a surprise birthday friend-shoot and then she asked me to capture it. So fantastical. There was so much laughter. And sometimes, it was hard to hold the camera still.

We decided on German Village for our playground location. I just followed these two around as they laughed, teased, blew bubbles, and stumbled. (Brick roads + heels = no no.)

This was the cutest little camera-shy boy. Equipped with blue eyes, blonde bedhead, and a red broom in his hand, he put his face up to the gate in his front yard to watch what we were doing.

Golly gee she's beautiful!

They had both just laid down in the middle of the alley when I shouted, "car!"


Those faces.


Those memories.

Rachel poked one of the leaves in her hair.

Abby got hers stuck.

Rachel then proceeded to laugh.

{Summary of the day.}

There was this super duper little teeny tiny swell bookshop called "The Book Loft." And yes, we explored it.

...and then there was the drunk guy at the park who asked what we were doing...
And then he proceeded to sit down in the picture.
